You don’t like baking because it gets too messy? Too many ingredients? We feel you. That’s why we are sure you are going to love this super simple mousse…flavour? Coffee of course!
Here’s the recipe for this amazing water-based dessert:
If you’d really like a dessert but you are also in need of a coffee, you don’t have to choose anymore! You can have the two of them…in one. This coffee mousse is perfect for summertime!
Also, good to know, this is a light recipe, so you won’t even need to feel guilty! And are you having your vegan friends over for dinner? Our coffee mousse is definitely your to-go-dessert then!
Ingredients:
- Cold water: ¾ cup
- Cane Sugar: 5oz
- Coffee, soluble: 1.8oz
Preparation
- Take a bowl and mix coffee and sugar in it
- Add the water (it has to be ice-cold!) and whisk for a few minutes (you need to be energic!), you know you are done when you get a smooth texture
- Now you can pour the mousse in the small glasses you are going to serve it in. You add any decoration you like (coffee beans and cocoa powder works perfectly!)
- If you are not going to serve it right away, you can leave it in the freezer until it’s time!
Want some tips?
- In order for the water to be at the perfect temperature when you use it, store it in the freezer for about 15 minutes and take it our right before the preparation
- We recommend soluble coffee for this recipe: any other kind of coffee doesn’t work just as good
- If this will be a late-night treat, you can also make it using decaf soluble coffee!
- Remember not to keep your mousse in the fridge, it’s not going to last long. The freezer is better, and it will last for a few days!
