You have people over for dinner but still unsure about the dessert? Try this coffee, white chocolate and amaretto semifreddo: they’ll love it!
This is the perfect dessert, especially if it’s hot outside! Your guests will be impressed 100%.

But let’s see today’s recipe!
What you’ll need:
- 1 1/3 cup of non-dairy cream
- 3 espresso shots
- ¼ cup of water
- ½ cup of sugar
- 3 crushed amaretto cookies
- ¾ of a bar of white chocolate
- Powdered cocoa
As per the coffee, in this specific recipe we recommend our Caffè Aiello Classic blend. You can prepare with the moka or use our Nespresso compatible capsules if you prefer. As usual, if you want to avoid caffeine, we suggest you pick Caffè Aiello Decaf blend, that maintains all the aromas and flavours of coffee thanks to its natural method for decaffeination.
How to make the semifreddo
- Prepare your coffee, ad in the water and sugar, mix all together and leave it to call
- Make whipped cream and add it to the previous mix of ingredients, once it has cooled down, whisk gently
- Grate the chocolate and put half of it in the mixture
- Add in ½ of the crushed amaretto cookies
- Take the cake mould you want to use and line it with clingfilm, then pour in the mixture
- With what’s left of the cookies and the chocolate decorate the top
- Cover everything with more clingfilm and put in the freezer for 3 hours (or more)
- Remember to take it out around 15 minutes before serving, in order for it to soften up
- Once you have sliced it and out in plates you can sprinkle a little bit of unsweetened cocoa powder on it
