3 Easy-to-make coffee milkshakes
A coffee milkshake is always a good idea. You might have it as a dessert or maybe as a mid-afternoon snack, it’s always delicious! Making a coffee milkshake is also one of the different ways you can adopt to avoid throwing away your leftover coffee.
You are wondering what the 3 recipes are about? We’ll present a classic recipe, an ice-cream-free one and a dairy free one too.
Classic Coffee Milkshake
This classic one will remind you of your childhood, when you used to have chocolate milkshakes, but now you are a grown up and you can switch to coffee ones!
Ingredients:
- 5.3 oz coffee ice-cream
- 15 regular-sized ice cubes
- 4 espresso shots. For this preparation we suggest our 100% Arabica coffee, unless you prefer something stronger like our Classic blend.
- 2 tsp of sugar
Procedure:
- First of all make the espresso you need for the 4 shots
- Put in a blender the ice-cream, the sugar and the ice cubes, and add the coffee when it’s ready.
- Blend for a few minutes until it’s smooth
- That’s it! You just need to find nice glasses in which to have your amazing milkshake
Coffee milkshake without ice-cream
No more ice-cream left in the freezer? No worries, you can just go for a ice-craem free milkshake and it’ll be just as good! Spoiler alert: you will be adding whipped cream to it…and you know you deserve it!
Ingredients:
- 5 fl oz of whole-fat milk
- 2.5 fl oz whipping cream
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3 espresso shots (remember: if you are avoiding caffeine you can also go for our decaffeinated coffee!)
- 10 regular-sized ice cubes
Procedure:
- Once your espresso is ready, add the sugar and stir, then put it in the fridge
- Once the coffee is cold, pour it in the blender, add your whipping cream and blend it all together
- Pour the milk and add the ice and keep on blending until you reach the desired texture. Here you go!
Dairy-free Coffee Milkshake
Vegan smoothies really are a thing! Check out the following recipes for a lighter and healthier alternative.
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cup of coconut milk
- 6 espresso shots (We recommend our Intense Nespresso compatible capsules)
- 2/3 cups sliced up avocado
- 10 regular-sized ice cubes
- Stevia (to your taste)
- Cocoa powder for the garnish
Procedure:
- Make the coffee and leave it in the fridge for a while
- Put all of the ingredients in the blender
- Blend it all together until you reach the texture you were looking for
- Pour in glasses and sprinkle it with cocoa powder
